A little more than a month after the important Easter in which Pope Francis left this earthly life, the Brazil Church published a special resource seeking to honor the task of communication and preaching tirelessly. This is “Pope Francis’s short communications dictionary”, which is an easily free and accessible creativity, developed by the Grecom/CNBB bishops ‘bishops’ group.

Live honor for the first time in Latin America

This dictionary arises as a gesture of gratitude to the uniqueness of the style of communication with Pope Francis, and is characterized by its simplicity, approach, active listening, and a message full of hope. The post highlights how its method of transporting the Bible managed to touch hearts all over the world, which turns the way to connect faith into an increasingly and attracted global environment.

This resource is organized around 12 basic words: joy, heart, dialogue, meeting, listening, hope, brotherhood, mercy, peace, proximity, tenderness and truth. Each term connects a part of Pontificate and its missionary style, which was developed from the deep listening of his sermons, messages and gestures, with the aim of providing a reflection that goes beyond speeches and procedures.

The idea of experts and their pastoral vision

In the foreground, Professor Moisés Sbardelotto, the group’s coordinator and teacher at PUC Minas, explains that the dictionary is born with the intention of remembering, with hope and tenderness, which shocked the church and the world to his style of communication. For his part, Monsignor Valdir Jose de Castro, Chairman of the Episcopal Communications Committee, confirms how the Pope was an example of preaching that gives priority to humanity, confrontation and tenderness for traditional communication techniques.

A tool for everyone who wants to communicate with faith and humanity

This dictionary is not just a set of words; It is a tribute to the “heart of communication” of Pope Francis, the designer of the bishops, secular, religious, specifications and pastoral agents who want to follow their example in transferring messages full of sympathy, truth and hope. It is an invitation to live in the Church’s dream of going out, communicating and preaching, in times when good communication is more necessary to confront wrong information and social polarization.
