One is green from the top and the inside is red, the other is yellow from above, and red from the inside. At the same time, the third is usually green from the outside and is red watermelon from the inside. Manoj Kumar Mahado cultivates these three varieties in Asanapani near the Barvada GT road.
Farmer Manoj Mahado said he was doing traditional farming before, but started from 2018 to modern agriculture. They cultivate three types of watermelons on 5 acres of land. Manoj said that the yellow watermelon from the inside is called Chirohi. The upper part of it is called watermelon Sinjanda, which is yellow and red from the inside. There is also a syngenda from the top of the green and the red watermelon inside.
The seeds were planted in December
Farmer Manoj said the seeds were brought from Bangalore and brought to the fields in December. Its crop is ready to give fruit in 70 to 90 days. He said people did not understand this for the first time, but after eating it, people love its flavor. Its demand in the market is increasing, which takes it once and is taking it back. So far, five tonnes have been sold in the market. It is estimated that there are 5 tonnes of watermelon in the fields. He also demands.
The agriculture sector also helped

However, he said some more cooperation was needed from the government. He said there is a shortage of water here, so there is a need to provide resources. With water available, other youths of the village can also be encouraged for agriculture. Due to the high cost, people run from agriculture. The watermelon is cultivated in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He said he was cultivating it for the first time in Jharkhand.
Local people get a job
Due to the cultivation of Manoj Mahado, the surrounding youth also get employment. Local youth Burmeshwar Rajwar said that we saw the red watermelon, but first we raised the water of different colors here. Young people go out for employment, but we get employment in the fields here. Dr Ishita Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor of BSK College, said the watermelon is like a normal watermelon.
Like normal watermelon, nutrition is found in it. But the amount of sugar in turmeric watermelon is slightly more than a red watermelon, he said. Its taste is like a slightly honey. The yellow watermelon is turned on, due to beta carotene, and licotine is in red watermelon. These two are fido chemicals. Potto chemicals are the work of coloring the plant.
