Commentators Jose Eduardo Cardoso and Kayo Coppola Discuss, this Monday (31), in The great debate (From Monday to Friday, 11 pm), if US President Donald Trump is able to change the law to experience a third term.

Although the American constitution prohibits the president to fulfill more than two periods, Trump said on Sunday (3) that “there are ways” to obtain a new period and “not joking”.

Cardoso argues that the American president will not succeed in maneuver.

“The US constitution of the eighteenth century is, since 1787, and it has been slightly moved, relatively, for example, with the Brazilian constitution, even because of the difficulty that must agree to the constitutional amendments. It is not only a legislative approval, it is not only sufficient for the council and aging, but it is necessary even prior cases before there is an equal number.

“Regardless of any evaluation that can be made, these changes are not democratic,” he said.

Coppola believes that Trump focuses on the next four years.

“There are ways to change the law, but I do not think that Trump made it.”

He concluded by saying: “The American constitution is more than the centenary and the amendments that regulate this issue have contracts. The law is because it is impossible to submit any demand for any concern to the White House to be re -elected to a third term.”
