Commentators Jose Eduardo Cardoso and Kayo Coppola discussed on Tuesday (8), at The great debate (From Monday to Friday, from 11 pm), if the resigno Filho from the Ministry of Communications is weakening the Lula government.

Juscelino resigned On Tuesday night (8), after the Public Prosecutor Office (PGR) presented Deviation of parliamentary amendments.

In a statement, the minister’s defense stated that it was innocent and classified as the “facts” of the accusations taken by PGR. He also said that the complaint is “serious evidence” of the “intended era in Brazil.” Lawyers also confirmed that the complaint has nothing to do with their status as a minister.

Cardozo says that the situation does not shake or strengthen the government.

“This is unfortunately common in the political life of governments in Brazil. We have nothing specifically to say that the government is weaker, it is stronger. Of course it is not fun, it is not good to get out of these cases, it’s not the best in the worlds, but it is not the worst world,” said Cardoso.

“It is part of the daily political life, the government has to confront it normally. People have to read this usually as we often read in previous governments,” he said.

Copola argues that the government is weakening.

“It is clear that the removal of the minister of involvement in the corruption scandal weakens any government, especially because it enhances the perception of popular imagination that we are a republic of thieves,” said Coppola.

“I do not refer directly to the minister, because it is clear that we respect the due legal procedures, the broad right to defense, contradiction, etc.,” continued.
