The Karnataka government expects a great opportunity to export rice. In fact, after successfully testing 12,500 tonnes of rice last month, the Telangana government is now looking for a big opportunity. Civil Supplies Minister N. Utham Kumar Reddy said, “We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Southeast Asian Country for Rice Exports. Under this agreement, there is a possibility of exporting 1 million tonnes of coarse rice annually.” He said that thick varieties such as the MTU-1010 and the IR-64 raised in the state have a huge need in the Philippines.
The second larger manufacturer
