The continuous efforts of the Yogi Adityanath government for the benefit of sugarcane farmers have given a new direction to his life. According to recent data, the government has benefited 65 lakh sugarcane farmers and 46.5 lakh sugarcane suppliers in the state. On the contrary, the sugarcane farmers were so bad that during the tenure of the previous Samajwadi Party, the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Congress governments.

Ethanol production also received an incentive

There are 122 sugar mills in 45 districts of the state, of which 96 are private, 23 co -operatives and 3 companies. They also work in 285 continental units and 65 gozen units. The Yogi government has also done the task of modernizing 52 plants. In addition, the government has promoted the production of Etol, which has a capacity of about 8 thousand kg per day. In addition, the sugar industry has provided direct and indirect employment to about 8 lakhs 50 thousand persons.

About 1,200 crores for farmers

The previous government’s tenure increased by 43 per cent in sugarcane, 16 percent of sugarcane productivity and 68 per cent in sugarcane production during the last government. 49 per cent of the country’s total sugarcane, 49 per cent of sugarcane production and 33 per cent of sugar production are now in Uttar Pradesh. The Yogi government has confirmed the additional income of sugarcane farmers in sugarcane production in the state.

Payment of over 2.80 crore sugarcane prices so far

The current government has so far paid over 2.80 crores of sugarcane prices, which from 1995 to March 2017, about 66 crores. In addition, the contribution of 1.09 lakh crore GVA was registered in 2024-25. Under the guidelines of the CM, sugarcane farmers continue to benefit from 158 co -operative sugarcane groups, 27 co -operative sugar plant groups and 152 sugarcane development councils.

Sugarcane farmers in previous governments

Please tell me that the condition of sugarcane farmers is very pathetic during the previous SP, BSP and Congress governments. Sugarcane prices were not done at the same time or the sugar mills were not modernized. Farmers could not afford their production fairly, resulting in their economic conditions. On the contrary, the Yogi government has taken firm measures for the benefit of sugarcane farmers, resulting in positive changes in their lives.

The Yogi government’s efforts not only strengthened the economic status of sugarcane farmers but also contributed significantly to the economy of the state.
