Start building the train that will go from CDMX to Querétaro

President Claudia Xinbum began building a Mexico City train to Querétaro, which is 200 km long and will be completed at the end of 2027.

“Querétaro, in addition to being a very important destination, Querétaro will become a center for the northern railway, because from here it goes to the Gulf and the Pacific. Hence he will go to Arabuatato and Guadalajara. This part of Querétaro will begin to Irapuato with its construction in June, July.

“In this year, we started from Soltilo to Noyfu Larado. We will go through sections. The goal of six years is more than three thousand trains, which is historical.”

At the beginning of the works, Gustavo Valigo, head of the body of military engineers, Felipe Angeles, said that the train will travel at a speed ranging between 160 and 200 km per hour, and will fall many obstacles to continue as straight as possible and allow the path between both cities in less than two hours.

“We have a challenge, not only to build more than 12 kilometers of high maids on the areas where we lose the level, run out of the ground, and we jump on the water intersections, where we penetrate the hills, to be able to maintain the speed of the design. We have 117 steps slope.”

He said that up to 12 front construction facades will be held between Mexico City and Querétaro, and it is planned to employ about 200,000 workers during the two and a half years that the work will be taken.

Andres Lagos, head of the Railways Transport Regulatory Agency, said that a tour of Mexico City to Querétaro will be implemented in less than two hours, which is almost impossible to achieve by car.

“This time will be made today, which is more than two hours, but we know that due to the conditions of vehicle congestion, it can be four, five or six hours, to about two hours,” said Lagos.

The federal authorities stated that work has all the required permits and environmental impact studies.
