Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan started the annual conference of the Vice Chancellor of Agricultural Universities across the country and the directors of ICAR companies across the country at Subramaniam Auditorium in Delhi. Told the temple of the ICAR Department of Agriculture
Beginning with his speech, Chauhan considers Igar as a temple in which the farmer said that God and the scientist were his priest. He said that our achievements are proud of the agricultural industry, but there are many more challenges. Our main goal is to increase the income of the farmers and ensure food safety.
Special importance for the role of agricultural universities
Chauhan said the stock studies and degrees of agricultural universities should not be limited. Their job is to bring technical information and practical solutions to farmers. He said that agricultural research books should not be limited, but the fields should be achieved. Only then will the farmers get the right benefit.

Should be focused on six important works
During the convention, the Minister of Agriculture introduced a clear plan, which is said to be paying attention to six important works:
- Increase agricultural production
- Yield progress to a hectare
- Reducing agricultural expenses
- Get a fair price of product
- Food processing and promotion of agricultural diversion
- Strengthening and loss of natural farming
These works must be done together, then the food security of the country will be strengthened and the income of the farmer will be increased.
Please appeal to scientists and students to enter the fields
Now the time has come for scientists, sub -chancellors and students to go to the field, ”said Chauhan. They meet farmers, get information about soil, climate and crop, and then provide them with suitable advice. He said that not only we plan on paper, but also to show the ground results during this Carib season.

Farmers need to get directly to the benefit of research and technology
The Minister of Agriculture recommended that all universities and research documents and research be ensured that the farmers were useful. He also said that students studying agriculture should be seen whether they are associated with agricultural business or agriculture.
Request to bring Indian Agricultural Universities above
Chauhan said that every university should be enrolled in the top 3 agricultural universities of India. For this, a strong relationship with excellent studies, practical education, initial support and farmers is essential. He said that each vice-chancellor should share two-three best practices so that everyone can learn each other.
There is a confluence for traditional and modern knowledge
In the end, the Minister said that the minister should add modern science and traditional farmer experience. He said, “The farmer is many times more intelligent in practice. We must give the same importance to his point.”
