Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said that the farmers’ income has increased due to the agricultural mechanism and modern technologies in the state. He said that there was unprecedented changes in the agriculture sector as a result of plans carried out by the central and state government. In 2009-10, the availability of farm power is only 1.23 kW per hectare. At the same time, in 2022-23, it rose to 3.56 kW per hectare. He added that farmers are getting more comfort in agriculture as the agricultural equipment is easily available in the state. Facilities such as tractor, Power Tiller, Thresher, Harvester, drops and sprayer irrigation are now reaching small and somewhat farmers.

Increased productivity due to agricultural mechanization

Due to agricultural mechanisms, farmers can now plow, sow and harvest, which has reduced agricultural costs and increased production, said Agriculture Minister Sinha. At the same time, referring to projects such as Custom hiring Center and Farm Machine Bank. The Deputy Chief Minister said that more than 1000 custom hiring centers have been set up in the state, as small farmers are getting modern agricultural equipment at a cheap rate. In addition, the availability of equipment at cheaper rates has been confirmed by the farm machine bank for poor farmers.

Farmers are becoming prosperous with agricultural machinery

The Minister of Agriculture said that a total of 75 types of agricultural equipment, including the Thresher, Multi-Curro plantation, drip and sprayer system, are providing 40 per cent to 80 per cent subsidy to farmers. Farmers are technically empowered by training for proper use of modern agricultural equipment. At the same time, in the coming years, farmers will be emphasized in the state -agricultural equipment, the expansion of custom hiring centers and the teaching of new techniques.
