The Punjab government has decided to start paddy from June 1 this year, which will be 10 days ago compared to last year. This was announced on Saturday at the axis of the Sangrur district. This steps have been taken to protect farmers from the problem of high humidity in their crops and reduce the difficulties in buying. The government will be divided into four different zones with six to seven districts so that the paddy is properly planted. “The process of zonal -wise agriculture will be implemented under the appropriate plan.” In addition, the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) recommended by the Government Purchase of PR 126, 127, 128 and 129. It has also been confirmed that strict action is taken in selling fake seeds.
Water and straw problems will be overcome
The government is planning to regulate high -quality hybrid paddy and distribute only certified seeds. Farmers believe that planting can reduce the problem of burning first, as it will give more time between harvesting rice and sowing wheat or other rabbi crops, which will reduce the problem of burning. Joint Director Agricultural (Seed) Gurmel Singh said that only three to four people have been officially approved by the 23 recognized hybrid varieties. According to Punjab Agricultural Director Jaswant Singh, four zones will be determined based on the availability of water, which will be given priority to the limited canal water supply districts.
