In a stunning new show in Museo de Arte de Quentaro, Iranian artist Shadi Yusepian coordinates with the photo and other media in spectacular studies of memory, sign and migration themes. The comprehensive exhibition titled “Memory In Layers” includes over 100 art works and is now on display till June 8. It shows the selected pieces of the 23 years of Yusefian’s professional life.

Yusepian’s task reflects the displacement beautifully in his life

Museo de Arte D. Quentaro Director Antonio Arelelee Barkett describes the works of Yusepian: He reflects on “cultural identity, loss and the difficult process of adaptation… We are happy to present the work of this exceptional artist.”

Born in Tehran, Iran in 1978, Yusefian moved to the United States at the age of 16. Feighed in the eight series mentioned in the eight series in the “layers”, his work, the challenging features of contemporary life, the universal themes such as displacement, loss, alienation and reorganization, explains the subconscious and global themes of the society-folliciti and circulation by paying a certain focus on cultural identity.

These themes were clearly echoed with guests at the “Memory in Layers” exhibition, where many of the participants were stunned by Yusepian’s works.

“Today we have been used to seeing my numerous faces flawlessly-photographed-and carefully drained-in the continuous violence of the artist-asymmetrical self-portrait gave me a powerful reminder that it was not in fullness,” Museum guest M. Said Vega. “Shoti’s works are filled with technique, creativity and emotion – that these articles are made from small pieces of actual photos, letters and diary inputs that move very from the artist’s own life.”

“One Tour de Fours,” another participant agreed. “Bold, trigger, simply stunning.”

Yusepian’s “dull” memories “series, one of the eight series currently on display at the Museum de Arte de Quentaro, is seen as an inevitable piece of memories and the blur of memories.

Antonio Arerele Barkett, the director of the museum, agrees. “With the profit and firm attitude, Yusefian has achieved a job close and deep. Now he turns these manifestations into global announcements of the experiences and memories of human migration throughout our planet.”

Globally connects his personal experience on migration

As the Yusefian explained, “To this day most of my work is migrants, reflecting my desire to conquer and drain some of my life, and combine it with a very global experience. My art refers to and creates a kind of fragment and dissolution, but also celebrates the effort to rebuild and reconstruct a self in a new social and cultural environment. ”

In addition, he noted that he could not express himself enough by the language at times, so he uses his art as a vehicle. He considers this as a comparable, “People inability to express their true identity due to the restrictions and moral codes imposed on them by governments or community.”

Detecting a lot of inspiration in Mexico

“As an artist, Mexico encourages me in many ways, one of which is a bold attitude towards color. Another feature of directly encouraging me,” modern art and architecture. I was very impressed by modern architectural styles, especially by residential apartments and homes in Mexico city, Quadalajara and Merida. ”

The Yusepian’s “Diarries” series is found on the left, using memories and stories that were two years ago for the migration from Iran to the United States. His “obscure colors”, a cooperation with the Argentine artist Lucas Rice created in the San Miguel de Alende.

“Of course, the variety and number of museums and galleries, which continue to offer wonderful exhibitions of renowned Mexican and international artists, helps to provide the Awant-Cart works and art installations of the less known contemporary artists, which help you afford and renew with the world.”

“Mexico not only encourages me as an artist, but also helps to develop life as a human being. The family is very valuable even by the younger generation. In Mexico, a young man can be walking hands with his grandmother. I admire the support of the artists here. They are happy to be successful. ”
