Axeruch fees imposed by the US have been implemented in countries around the world, including India. For most businesses and countries, these fees are a cause of problem, but there are some sectors that benefit from Trump’s fees. One of these is India’s milk sector. Dairy Veterans think that due to the largest manufacturing country in the world, India and its dairy sector are going to benefit.
How does the milk sector benefit?
Amul is happy about global milk products worldwide. Explain that the imposition of the opposite of India and other countries by the Trump administration is expensive in the United States. But the Gujarat Co -operative Milk Marketing Association (GCMP) Managing Director Jayen Mehta said that these fees will be “preferred suppliers” at 50 percent of the international markets that other Indian dairy brands are in the US.
Mehta said, “If a country pays higher fees, they are expected to impose a similar duty on US imports. In such a situation, US products will become expensive.
America’s export market will reach access
In a conversation with an English newspaper ‘Business Line’, Mehta said the United States was the second largest exporter of milk products after New Zealand. By 2024, the US exported six important dairy products, including milk powder, butter, lactose, casein and buttermilk protein. The exports include about 50 per cent of India’s neighborhood, South Asia, Southeast Asia, China, Japan, the Middle East, North Africa and Australia and New Zealand.
Mehta said, “We will become a favorite supplier of these countries that have traditionally received dairy products from the United States. In other words, the Trump administration has approached Indian dairy products in a stroke for 50 percent of its international export market.” Significantly, Amul is currently exporting to more than 35 countries, including the United States. GCMP Managing Director Jayen Mehta said, “Since Amul is capable of fulfilling domestic and international demands, this will be an easy goal for us.
How much can be the difference?
Explain that half of the Indian dairy products exported to the United States are exported. Mehta said, “This is about Rs 150-200 crore annually. He said GCMMF has been exporting milk products for the past 25 years. Amul exports 19 products in the US market, including cheese, butter, cheese, ghee, ice cream, drinks and chocolate.
Mehta said, “With 27 percent additional duty, imports of Amul products will increase further. However, there is no problem with us, as the main consumers of Amul products in the United States are able to withstand this growth. But our duty is not so much for its fruits and imports of milk products 30-40 %.
