The Swedish brand H&M announced on Tuesday (22), which will open another store in Brazil, in Morumbi Shoping, the western region of Sao Paulo.
The opening should take place in the second half of this year. The title will be the third in Sao Paulo, which will also have units in IGUATEMI and Anália Franco, in the eastern region. The brand also announced a new unit in Parque Dom Pedo Mall in Campinas (SP).
In a statement, Joaquim Pereira, H & M Brasil Sales Director, said that all units will be opened this year, without specifying dates.
“We are very excited to expand the presence of H&M in Sao Paulo through our new store at Morumbi Shopping. This moment is an important step to bring high -quality and sustainable fashion designers to more Brazilian consumers – all for the best price,” says CEO.
Its expiration has ended since last year, H&M has been confirmed to Brazil only on March 27 this year, the date of publishing the sustainability report for the brand.
Closing
Pra -Brazil stores are part of the H&M expansion plan for other markets.
In the report of the results for the first quarter of 2025 (which represents the period from December 1, 2024 to February 28 this year), the Swedish company indicates that its net sales increased by 3 %.
The document also indicates that 120 stores were closed in the period, and in liquid balance (openings and closure), 40 stopped.
“With four planned lines in 2025, we are confident that the suggestion of the unique value of H & M will resonately resonate in the Brazilian market. Our commitment of course: growth in a way that links physical and numerical customers as we continue to provide an inspiring purchase experience at reasonable prices,” says Joaquim Perea in a statement by the company.
Performance in Latin America
The first H&M store in Latin America was opened in 2012 in Mexico. Then Panama (2021), Costa Rica (2022) and the Dominican Republic (2024) came.
Chile was the first address in South America to receive a brand store in 2013, and today it has 30 material address and also online presence. Other countries in the region where the brand is located are Peru, with an open store in 2015, and Uruguay, with operation since 2018.
The H&M report announces that the brand will also open, in 2025, its first store in El Salvador. Neighboring Brazil, Paraguay will include a brand store in 2026.
