Seeds and pesticides rules, fertilizers, pesticides and seed traders continued the strike on Tuesday for a second consecutive day as they were on strike for a week. Traders have issued a weekend warning to the government to repeal or make changes to the new law for a week. However, on Monday evening, a group of distributors announced the withdrawal of the strike, citing the guarantees issued by Chief Minister Nib Singh Saini, but none of the traders had withdrawn the strike and that it would continue according to the schedule. The strike was announced during a Sunday meeting in Kurukshetra.

In Colonel, traders held a meeting at the Colonel Club, headed by Ram Kumar Gupta, president of the District Colonel Fertilizer, president of the Pesticides and Seed Traders Association. He said the strike would continue until their demands were met. Gupta said, “No one has withdrawn the strike. This is only a rumor. We are on strike. It will continue according to the table.”

Traders said it was “black law”
He described these laws as a “black law” imposed by the state government. Gupta raised a strong objection to two government orders issued recently, in which the amount of fines in selling low -lying agricultural inputs has increased significantly. He said, “According to the new law, if a seed or pesticide is found to be inferior, the fine has increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh.

Action should be taken against the manufacturer of fertilizer
He stressed that traders only sold the sealed and pre -paved products obtained directly from the manufacturers, and no damage has been made by retailers. Gupta said, “If there is any problem with the preparation, the manufacturer should take responsibility. We are only a media. Its products reach the farmers.”
