A reflection on the Bacquel’s mystery in the Holy Land, on the conscience of humanity and the need for the resurrection of those who suffer from the consequences of war.

In Jerusalem, Easter rituals begin on Friday before Palm Sunday, on the anniversary of the Blessed Virgin Pain. Every stone of the Holy City remembers the passion and death of our Lord: the path of the painful path is characterized by the living existence of Christ, the suffering of his mother, the apostles and those who followed him with confidence, confronting persecution and persecution. The celebration of popular joy is increasingly hindering the local Christians, who cannot meet in the holy places in the company of faith. The week begins to celebrate the painful events, but the Creator: the disappointment of treason, the unfair wisdom, the terrible passion, and the death on the cross with two thieves, in the presence of the mother who loses her beloved son and welcomes another to continue spreading the message of love. Under this cross, which intersects the church’s mission, was born: from the party and its participation, from suffering and the death of Christ we received salvation.

We are immersed in national ambiguity and it is not easy to understand what is happening from a hundred kilometers from the Holy City, and it is sacred to all those who live in this land. We cannot justify the aggression and persecution that leads to violence when the cause of love that excludes hatred prevails: these are not words of circumstances, as they are the “laws” that believers must respect every religion with the only possible interpretation, good. For more than eighteen months, the world saw what was happening in Gaza, but it did not look or found the possibility of stopping death and suffering more than two million people.

Inhumane procedures

For a very long time, the inability to inhuman measures helped us indifferently to those who see the benefits of war and allow fire that destroys people and hospitals, but they do not see, they pretend to not see the inhuman methods of death that exceeds the number and tests, and the unreasonable revenge law. Is it still possible to be considered responsible and able to manage the history of humanity and change it for the best of the violence, who cause death, who build war plans, who do not help in life and prevent help and assistance? We have seen the pictures and heard painful stories. We have seen people driven by death tools built and marketing by other people. We have seen people starving, thirst, lack of care, heat, and cold because others allowed this. Is this awareness of new humanity, is this the human society that reaches the moon and does not save its peers?

They are long and dark times that record death and despair: past errors cannot be treated to cancel the logic of power. You cannot overcome the silence that surrounds hatred, you cannot seek justice in the voice of truth. Many mothers and fathers suffer from Mary for the loss of their children. Many children have lost love, protecting mothers and parents, and surviving pain. In this holy week, we traveled with our hearts in the painful streets of Gaza, let’s walk in the hope of peace and with certainty that Christ was revived. Let us defeat fear and darkness with the light of the resurrection so that we can live completely on the Holy Easter, which announces before the empty grave: “He is no longer here! He no longer! Christ went to Gaza!” Revival is the average life expectancy of Gaza Christians: We pray to continue to see faith in painful ways of their lands.
