Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) was present at the 63rd convention of Bharat Ratna C. Subramaniam celebrated at the Hall. The IARI is the forerunner of the Green Revolution. The company has provided continuous speed to increase agricultural production and productivity through its excellent research, educational and expansion measures. Trade Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chau Khan Vargani was the chief guest of the event. Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan congratulated the students who graduated and doctorate in his speech and praised the research and innovation of scientists.

He said India’s agricultural growth rate is 5 per cent, which is the forerunner of the world. Students are a repository of infinite powers and they must contribute to the creation of the nation with positive energy. He said that the Indian Agricultural Research Institute and the hard work of the farmers have enriched the country with food shops.
Chauhan said students should come forward to solve the challenges of Indian agriculture. Also, research and novelty, agricultural starts and natural farms need special attention. With global challenges in mind, research should be further strengthened to make India a leader in the field of agriculture.
Skills
He said that education is essential for skills (skills), so he encouraged students to advance in the direction of novelty, agricultural entrepreneurs and startups. He said there are a large number of small and some farmers in India, so such an invention is necessary to increase the income of small farmers.
There is a need to promote stable agriculture, climate flexible agriculture and organic and natural farming. He stressed that the techniques of IARI were needed quickly to the fields, so farmers could gain more benefits. He also advised to follow agricultural tools, smart agriculture and advanced digital techniques.

The 28th Hooker Award (2022-23) was awarded to Dr. Kian Prakash Mishra, Principal and Chairman of New Delhi. Dr. Girish Singh, the scientist of the Agricultural Extension Division, was awarded the 4th Nabard Resident of 2024. A total of 399 students were awarded postgraduate and doctoral degrees, including foreign students. In this case, new varieties of various crops including wheat, maize, gram, mong and mango were released. In addition, three major publications were released.
