200 days from the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), which will be held in November this year, in Belim, the Barra government, on Thursday (24), has a balance between continuous actions to host the event.
The poll showed developments in more than 30 interventions in the city and attended by the unusual Secretary COP30 Valter Correa, as well as representatives of the state and the municipality.
The presentation occurred in Parque Da Cidade, the main space in which climate discussions should occur.
According to the Barra government, the area of more than 550,000 square meters already has about 80 % of completed businesses and must include blue areas (where official negotiations occur) and green (where the meetings of work groups and public sessions occur).
During the presentation, the Vice Governor of Barra and Chairman of the State Committee of COP30, Hana Ghassan, highlighted some of the solutions to be planned to establish the participants.
A new set of hotels is built through private initiatives, and the city’s residents are trained to offer their homes as a season rental option.
In addition, cruises will be employed, school housing will be prepared, and military villages – which, after the event, will also be used to public buildings – will also be used.

Among the investments that have already been completed are the bridge that connects the BR-316 to the road handle, in addition to the TIMBó and Gentil interventions strategic channels that promise to improve urban flow and reduce floods in the critical areas of the city.
The first phase of Park Linear – Nova Doca was also delivered. With the alignment removal, work continues to progress gradually in the next eight blocks.

According to the state government, the Capacita Cop30 has already formed more than 16,000 workers in the areas related to tourism, infrastructure and services.
A study of economic and social influence began. The goal is to assess the investments received by Belém, the functions that were created and the dropping of the city in terms of tourism and regional development. The results should be detected after COP30.
