Now Sahi’s terrorism in agriculture

Sahi’s disaster loss

In the last five to seven years, farmers claim that the disaster loss of SAHI has increased. Farmers claim that their crop is up to 30 percent loss because of Sahi every year. According to government data, saffron yields in Kashmir by 2024 have declined to 2.6 metric. Because of this, $ 45 million is at risk, which maintains 32,000 families in the entire region.

In the last two years, farmers estimate that they have lost at least 300,000 rupees due to Sahi. The farmers first felt that these were wrong animals. But then they began to get thorns around the fields, and then they knew that the problem was huge.

The Forest Department’s efforts failed

The Forest Department tried to spray the biological rubber last year, considering the increasing infection. The farmers hoped it would be away from it. A farmer from the area said it would be useful for a while, but he returned. Sahi, since then, dig into more deeply. At the same time, some farmers have sought traditional methods because they put Mulway bushes around their fields, from flatlight to patrol at night. But none of these methods are useful.
