Two weeks ago, my wife and I had the opportunity to attend Mexico’s annual Tiandguice Turestrico (National Tourism Exhibition). For the first time, events for this exhibition are to be held in both the US and Mexico. We got the opportunity to see the event and see some great cooperation between the two countries.

Events were held in Dijuana and San Diego, which gave us extra benefits Checking Dijuana For the first time, the San Diego/Dijuana, which has nearly 5 million people, has a feeling for the metropolitan area. 125,000 to 150,000 students, workers, tourists and Hygiene Every day crosses the border. I always wonder how such massive people flow can be significantly connected to the reinforced wall.

San Diego-Deijuana is one of the four borders of the metropolitan area, where more than 100,000 people cross between Mexico and the United States every day. (Bill Constan’s CC Pi-SA 3.0)

In the last 30 years I estimate that I have “crossed the border more than 250 times, but it has been in the sky every time before this trip. Surprisingly, I have never had a chance to see the northern border of Mexico, crossing it by car or cattle. However, I had the opportunity to see and cross the southern border.

Many years ago, I moved from Mexico to Guatemala, and when walking through the coffee plantations in the city of Gagahodon, the city of Gagahaoton, he said with a local place (this is for snakes, I am not so sure). Beginning in Chiabas, we walked through the fields of coffee plants into Guatemala. The only way we know that we really have crossed the border is from each quarter mile or more white painted cement posts. Very experienced, but to say in another time.

Again, in Dijuana, I had the opportunity to cross the border several times, the foot and car-the writer of our newly hired San Diego-based writer is driving instead of me.

To be clear, I am not in any way to make or reduce the travels and struggles of millions of people (or have tried to cross) the border compared to my experience. I am not arguing for open borders – I want to share my personal experiences from this journey.

Border Crossing Number 1: Walking through the Cross Border Express (CPX) Bridge from Dijuana to San Diego

When we arrived at Dijuana Airport from our local BJP airport in Guanjuado, we took the CBX. I heard this “the way to do this,” and after a little confusion whether our CPX tickets should be purchased separately or at the same time on our flight tickets – we did it separately – we chose this intersection option. I have to say that this is a wonderful experience.

Within 15 minutes of leaving the flight in Dijuana, we were in our US rental car on the way to San Diego! We left the plane, followed the CPX signature, scanned the previously purchased CPX QR code on a computer and held about 100 yards to the United States, though a high tunnel. At the end of the tunnel, we handed over our passports to the US border control agent for a brief moment, and a minute later we spoke with a rental car company representative in the United States.

After reading many stories about the border for many years, it didn’t seem that it was not possible, it took us a while to realize that we were actually landing on a domestic flight in Mexico, a few minutes later we were driving a car in the United States.

Border Crossing No. 2: Driving from San Diago to Dijuana (two separate morning)

I don’t know what to expect on this intersection. I have recently read articles on MNT on how border agents in the United States and Mexico have recently accelerated the patrols of illegal guns traveling from north to Mexico, so I expected to be stopped. We first went to the American side of the border and slowly had to go down, but the fact did not come to a complete stop. I think we were built for people with passports, but I was told that they were not working and that they had never been functioning even though they were installed a year ago. We drove through the American border, “No man’s land” drove a hundred yards, and then came to the Mexican border.

At the Mexican border, we had to go slowly All over Tops (Speed bumps) congratulate us to Mexico. Although Mexican border patrol agents occasionally parked the car, we were not stopped and rolled properly. We never need to talk to anyone or show our passports on both sides of the border. Our friend who was driving us said that in the decades of driving south, he had never stopped. The whole time from our hotel in San Diego was less than 20 minutes to the total time to Dijuana. Surprise.

Once in Dijuana, it is like we landed on another planet – everything is different. I have to say that Dijuana is better than I expected, considering the negative pre -consecutive comments about the city and the border area. It was a great city by countless restaurants, bars, strip clubs, pharmacies, banks, plastic surgery clinics, dentists, hospitals and other health clinics against the border wall. I could not help, but it was not possible for many Americans to realize that it was a sad first thought of Mexico and that Americans would like to go into another country.

Within a few yards into Mexico, we took a hard right turn and moved directly to the sea. It was a different experience, the view-the-double-driven vehicle driving with us (the soldiers with us vigorously installed the razor wire between the two walls). Within a few hundred yards of the flow, Viagra is sold in almost every corner of a new city through the militarized border from American commercial buildings.

We went to where the wall went out of the sea, stopped the car and walked around a little. It was a heavy feeling – really sad. I could not help, but I think the birds located on the wall can go back and forth between the two countries, and we cannot find how the fish in the water, but how to live as neighbors without walls. Perhaps it seems naive, but I thought at this time when I put my hand on the wall and reflected American-Mxico relationships.

Border friendly garden with Mexico border wall

In 2007, there were pictures of children from both San Diego and Dijuana, who created a “friendly garden” on the Border Mexican side. The aim of the garden said that “creating a place where people can create friends beyond the border.” I do not say this as a political statement or commentary in any way, but in many ways we feel that we have not advanced a lot. I say that I am a human being, a Republican or a democrat.

I offered to take a part of the border, where family members from both sides can actually hug each other through the wall from the opposite sides of the wall. I refused to see it – it would be very painful to see it. Maybe I must have gone to see it. Maybe more people need to see it.

Border Crossing No. 3: Driving from Dijuana to San Diago

It crosses the border and I think I was very expected. Outside the convenient boundaries of the CPX subway bridge, how is it going into the United States? We have all read the latest headlines – the border is almost closed, and very few illegal immigrants are no longer passing, and Mexico and the United States have sent troops to the border to help control and stop human trafficking.

Half of the streets of Dijuana are the paths that actually make you over the border. Since there is a global entry, we went with our friend in the center lines. For decades, he told us confidently that he had never stopped for examination.

As we approached the US border, we handed over our passports to our friend, and he handed them over to the border patrol address to the border patrol address. She immediately asked us, “Where are the other two century cards?

“My wife and I have a universal entry and new passports with chips,” I replied that the global entry/centi card “attached” for passport chips is “attached”. I did wrong, very wrong… we were involved in a secondary study.

When we go to the Secondary Laboratory, they now say what the US military troops do. Troops with rifles and fatigue first told us to drive our car very slowly to look like a large airport metal detector. We were told to drive the car to another area and get out of the questionable car (not heard). Four agents checked our car deeply, knocked on the doors, pushed down the seats, under the car, under the car, under the hood and trunk. Drug snake dogs helped. My wife and I were raised on computer screens and asked a series of questions. The entire process took 30 minutes.

Of course we had nothing to hide, we made an honest mistake, but it felt the worst, uncomfortable, threat. We have always been treated with respect, but it is not a fun experience. This is not the greatest welcome within our country.

For those who cross the border, perhaps my experiences have been seen and experienced many times before. For those who are not, it is worth watching, feeling and enjoying the first hand.

It is difficult to imagine that you can go to Berlin of Germany and segregate a city into two separate countries – for those who once saw the wall. I hope that the future generation of Mexican and Americans can look back someday, and I can only imagine what it should be when there was a wall that separates the communities of San Diego and Dijuana.
