According to the company, Pegasus PE-210A will be sold for US $ 3 million, which refers to 30% of similar flights in the international market.

“It can perform very similar tasks with a texon model, but with very affordable acquisition and operating costs,” said Fernandez.

According to executives in Oxaka Aerospace, the design phase only required a $ 30 million investment.

Pegasus PE-210A, aimed at the use of tactical, surveillance and entertainment, is a two-seat aircraft, which has a tandem cockpit configuration, where passengers are sitting behind one. It has a functional range of 1,600 kilometers, and can reach a speed of about 388 km / h. Its maximum flight period is five hours.

The project requires 14 years of research and development by a committee of 25 people. The National Polytechnic Institute, Qurtaro’s Aeronautical University, Madrid’s Polytechnic University and the National Aviation Research Institute in the United States, provided special technical support.

In the Famex, Mexican also revealed the details of another project under the development of the company: Pegasus B -400D helps a prototype advanced tactical tasks and light attacks. The model features a machine of 600 horsepower, reinforced landing gear and Carmin G1000 Avonix system.

The company explained that light weapons can be carried out in accordance with customer needs P -400D, and that the use of hydrogen as a replacement fuel will be compatible with technologies.

At a press conference at the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) Manuel Perez Cortenas, the Okshaka Aerospace is capable of capturing up to 1% of the global light air market, indicating the annual demand for about 50 units.

Oxaka Aerospace, installed in 2011, had a goal in the mind: designing and producing aircraft in Mexico. The family -owned company, headquartered in the southern state of Okshaka, is run by the visuals and resources of the Fernandeus Group, which has chosen national innovations without seeking large investors or foreign capital.

“We have already fulfilled the dream; the plane is already flying,” said Fernandez. “Now comes the second challenge: mass production.”
