The Agriculture Department has made a major effort to provide green manure to farmers in Uttar Pradesh. This year, farmers will be given the seeds of Thanjavur as green fertilizer this year. It is said that 300 quintal seeds have been allotted from the department to Sitapur district. Seed Development Corporation will provide seeds to the Agriculture Department. After this, they will be distributed to the farmers through the reserve of agricultural seed.

Tanjay needed for paddy

According to experts, Devanja has a lot of need for green manure in the form of green manure, especially for paddy cultivation, to increase the fertility of the soil. However, despite the high demand, the availability of seeds is often low. Farmers in the district cultivated about 5.5 lakh hectares of land. Of this, paddy is cultivated in 1.5 lakh hectares of land. Paddy requires fertile soil. Because of this, many farmers planted Tanacha 30 to 45 days before the transfer of paddy.

Last year, the Department of Agriculture asked for 400 quintal seeds from the Seed Development Corporation. But the supply is incomplete. Because of this, some farmers had to buy seeds from private dealers. In spite of limited or low availability, Tancha is necessary to increase the fertility of the soil and reduce the needs of chemical fertilizers. These seeds are said to be available in April.

What is the need for this and why

Tanchecha is a plant of sebenia species that usually grow into a green manure crop in India. Its branches are long and are considered favorable to wet parts and heavy soil. This species is used for a long time to feed animals in India and improve soil. The seeds of Chenbania species are 33 percent of the raw protein and the amount of raw fiber is 10.9 per cent.
