Witnesses told Reuters that at least 10 people were killed on Sunday after a man from the bomb attacked a group of young recruits at the Damano Military Base in the Somali capital, Mogadicius, to wear Reuters.
They said that teenagers lined up at the base gate when the aggressor bombed the explosives.
A military commander, who was known as Solomon, described the attack as he saw it.
“I was across the street. Tuk Tuk stopped at a high speed, a man went, ran to the line and then exploded. I saw 10 people dead, including recruits and pedestrians. The dead could increase,” he said.
Dozens of abandoned shoes and the remains of the bomb man were clear at the scene.
Another witness, Abdani Muhammad, said that he saw “hundreds of teenagers at the gate as we pass the bus.”
“Suddenly there was a designed explosion, and the area was covered with thick smoke. We could not see the details of the victims,” he said.
The medical team at the military hospital told Reuters that he had received 30 explosions and that six of them died immediately.

There was no immediate claim to be responsible for the attack and government authorities cannot be contacted immediately for comments.
The attack repeated a similar incident in 2023, when a man was killed by 25 soldiers at the Jill Siyad Gille base, which is in front of the Damano facilities.
