The authorities said that a small plane crashed into a house in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and caused a fire on Saturday afternoon (29).

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement in a statement that the plane, a small executive plane capable of transporting six people, hit the house around 12:20 pm local time, while heading to Anuka County Airport in Minneapolis, coming from De Moin International Airport in Iowa.

In a statement X, the governor of Minnesota Tim Walz said: “My team is in contact with the local authorities on the site in Brooklyn Park and we are closely monitoring the situation. Grateful of the first rescue men who attended the call.”

At the press conference, Brooklyn’s mayor Park Holies Winston Walz thanked “our support and resources to our city.”

Winston said: “I will say, as a society and a city, we will surround the families affected by it,” Winston said.

FAA said that FAA and the National Transportation Council (NTSB) are investigating. NTSB will lead this investigation and make any updates.

Brooklyn Park is north of Minneapolis.
