After more than 40 years in Park City, Utah, The Sandans Film Festival has a new place.
Since 2027, the independent festival, which focuses on independent films, will be transferred to another mountainous city with a snow in Bulder, Colorado, according to contact with the Sandans Institute Press.
The statement said: “Buldander offers the magic of a small town with a participating community, a distinct natural beauty and a vibrant artistic scene, to become the ideal place for the festival’s growth.”
The change coincides with the first time that the Sandans Film Festival will be held outside Utah, where it was created by its founder Robert Redford Em 1981.
“I found the Sandans Institute with a commitment to discovering and developing independent artists, with the Sandans Film Festival as a platform for stories to help expand the audience and expand the scenario,” Redford said in a statement. “This task is still more important today and our central principle will remain.”
Redford added that although he was “sincere granted” to Park City to be the festival’s home for decades, he is “grateful to the Boulder community to support it, and I look forward to seeing the future reserves of the festival there.”
Colorado Governor Jared Police said in a statement on Thursday (27) saying that Colorado is “pleased” to receive the festival.
He added: “Here in our state, we celebrate the arts and films industry as an important economic driver, an important creator and an important contribution to our prosperous culture. Now, with the addition of the iconic Sandans Film Festival, we can expect more jobs, and a great benefit to our small companies, including stores and restaurants.”
Singinati, Ohio, was also considered a final city To host the festival, according to the Sandans Institute statement.
