In many states across the country, orphaned and wild animals have been damaged. To deal with them, the states make plans at their level, but the problem of farmers remains intact. In the coastal areas of Maharashtra, farmers are now eating sadness with monkeys, langers and wild boars. In such a situation, the State Forest Minister has said that effective measures should be taken to prevent crop loss. Forest Minister Ganesh Naik held a meeting on Wednesday to solve the problems faced by local farmers due to wild animals in the Taboli Taluk in Ratnagiri district.

Long -term solution requirements: Forest Minister

He said the state government is considering a plan to control the population of monkeys and langers in the Konkan region and to create a center for contraception to prevent crop losses from them. A statement from the Naik quoted, with the growing harassment of the Kongon, encouraged us to find long -term prevention solutions, especially monkeys and Langers. We are currently reviewing a plan to construct contraceptive centers to control their people in the districts of Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg.

Compensation is not a permanent solution: Naik

The Minister said that the current approach to compensation to the farmers for crop loss due to these animals is not a permanent solution. Naik said we should implement permanent measures to prevent such damage in the future. Wild boar, monkeys and langers have not only harmed crops in Taboli, but also have begun to enter villages and homes.

There is no dearth of money in implementing actions

He said such penetration was a serious threat to the livelihood of local farmers. The Minister also promised that there is no dearth of funds to carry out long -term actions. He said the government was committed to protecting agriculture and allocated the necessary funds to prevent the damage caused by wildlife. The farmers should allow the use of guns within the legal limits to protect their crops from wild pigs.

Minister Naik also spoke in arms license

In the past, some farmers in Konkon have been given guns for this purpose, but many of them have been suspended later. According to Naik, the Ratnagiri district collector has now been instructed to review these licenses and restore them as much as possible. During the meeting, he also accepted the demand for initial compensation for the loss of losses from SAHI in the crop loss and compensation program. He said these concerns are seriously considered.
