The Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath government continues to work towards the goal of doubling farmers’ income. As a result, there is a huge increase in the production of fruits and vegetables in the state. Due to the government’s policies and efforts, the production of fruits and vegetables has increased by about 150 percent. At the same time, the government is a steady effort for this increase. In fact, the goal of the Yogi government is to increase the income of farmers with the help of agriculture.
There is so much increase in fruits and vegetables
In 2016-17, the area under the fruits and vegetables is 4.75 lakh hectares and 12.56 lakh hectares respectively, while their production is 105 lakh metric tonnes and 278 lakh metric tonnes respectively. At the same time, by 2024-25, the area increased to 5.92 lakh hectares and 14.85 lakh hectares respectively. In addition, production has reached 170.95 lakh metric tonnes and 423.54 lakh metric tonnes. Therefore, in all, an increase of 3.46 lakh hectares and 211 lakh metric tonnes has been registered in the state, which is 150 per cent.
The best quality plants are obtained
Dinesh Pratap Singh said that the State Minister of Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Exports and Agricultural Exports Department (Independent Fee), the state government is providing high quality fruits and vegetable saplings to farmers. This has improved both the quality and production of farmers’ cultivation. The process of making plants and providing to farmers is accelerated by new techniques.
Focus on increasing farmers’ income
At the same time, the yogi government’s goal is to increase the income of farmers with the help of technology. In addition, the Yogi government is providing training, advanced seeds, plant and technical guidelines to farmers at the local level. This will increase the income of the farmers and the new technology is included in agriculture.
