The decision states that, according to the House of Representatives Directorate, the establishment of the new vacancies “will generate an annual impact of about 64.6 million dollars.”

The topic has been under analysis at home since last year. A decision by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) decided that Congress should review, by June 30 this year, the number of parliamentarians for each state in the House of Representatives, based on the most population data.
According to the Supreme Court, the review must be made according to the 1922 demographic census, while maintaining the total number of 513 deputies. If the recommendation is followed, seven states have a reduction in the population will lose chairs at home, and seven other states have the elderly population that will gain vacancies.
