Agriculture Minister Ramnath Thakur said in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday that the state government could decide whether the tenants and fewer farmers should be included in their farmers registry. Under the digital agricultural work, a particular farmer’s ID helps farmers to achieve government privileges in the State Farmers Registry. In his written reply in the lower palace, Thakur said that all land holders, including female farmers, have been included in the state farmer registry.

Ramnath Thakur said that there is an arrangement to include tenants and lower farmers in the Kisan Registry application. In such a situation, any state can decide to include such farmers in their policy. Although internet access has increased in rural areas, additional steps have been taken to provide digital information to farmers who do not have mobile phones, he said.
Importance of digital agricultural work

Registration process
Farmers from the state can register the farmer online by registering in the portal provided by the Agriculture Department. For this, it is necessary to connect the mobile number with OTP, Aadhaar card and Aadhaar card. Farmers can register the farmer through their mobile app (eg tiller registry) and web portal.
