Four smugglers, who declared themselves responsible for illegal possession and animal trafficking, have returned to the court for trial after an attempt to transport the live ants from Kenya for sale in the exotic animal markets in Europe and Asia.

The case, which took place on Tuesday (15), included two Belgians, Vietnami and Kenny, and is already considered a milestone for wildlife service in Kenya (KWS).

The service stated that the authorities intercepted the live ants, including the type of SPHALOTES Messor, also known as African Hillser Ant, which were hidden in modified and hismed test tubes.

A judicial document that Reuters already sees the authorities stipulates that the authorities intercepted about 5,000 water ants in 2,244 containers, with a market value of about one million Xelins (about $ 45,960.33).

The court was postponed to the case until April 23, when it will analyze previous reports to serve wildlife, national museums in Kenya and the police agent. Currently, while waiting for the jury’s decision, smugglers are arrested in the African country.

A source of ants trade, who asked not to identify, said that suppliers need a license from wildlife and a health certificate to export the presidency, and that the local species in Kenya were required and difficult to obtain.

The British resource specialized in Antsrus described that many people dream of this type, and that it is “really surprisingly visually monitoring”:

“Messor Cephalotes is the types of dreams for many people. Queen’s length is about 20 to 24 mm, red and brown/beautiful black.”

Antsrus lists the price of a living queen of this type at a price of 99.99 pounds (about 779.08 dollars), although it is not stored at the present time.
