Seven Brazilians It may vote on this flavor. Among them, we highlight Dom Sergio da Rosha, the current bishop in Salvador, Bahia. He was close to Pope Francis, as he was part of a group whose mission was to help him in the rule of the Church.
Who is Dom Sergio da Rosha
Sergio da Rosha was born in a double, in the inner part of Sao Paulo, on October 21, 1959. He was appointed a priest in 1984.
Dom Sergio obtained a master’s degree in moral theology from the College of Pap for the Faculty of the Theology, the Association Lady in Sao Paulo, and a doctor from the Alvonsian Academy of the University of Laranins Pap for Rome.
He was called the Archbishop of COADJUCTOR from the Tirisina diocese by Pope Benedict XVI in 2007. A year later, in September 2008, he took the diocese of the head of urban bishops. In 2011, the head of the capital’s bishops were appointed from Brazilia.
Already in Pontificate of Francisco, on November 19, 2016, Dom Sergio Cardinal has been announced.
On March 11, 2020, he was appointed by the Archbishop of Francisco Salvador and Brazil – a title presented by the leadership of the church’s first headquarters in Brazil.
Among other relevant positions, Cardinal was also CNBB, between 2015 and 2019.
In early 2023, DOM Sérgio became the first Brazilian to be nominated to join the Cardinal Council – a group created in 2013 with the task of helping the Pope in the government of the Catholic Church and study a project to review the Romanian Korea (administrative institutions of the chair).
Cardinal was evaluated in an interview with CNBB that the initiative was very important, and revealed that Francis was able to hear the members of the council “for a long time without intervention.
