On Sunday, 11 coaches of Bangalore-Kamagya AC Express derailed in Odisha’s Cuttack. Two passengers were injured in the accident. The train was traveling from Bangalore to the Kamakya station in Guwahati. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma confirmed the incident.
Ashok Kumar Mishra, Chief Public Relations Officer of the East Coast Railway, said that 11 coaches of the SMVT Bangalore-Kamahya AC Express were derailed at Maguli near Nightjundi at 11:54 am today. The railway and the administration are involved in relief work.
The crash was caused by the crash
Under the supervision of senior railway authorities, the rescue and reconstruction work in the affected area is in a war. A relief train is being arranged towards their goal. Officials said the road of three trains had been changed due to the derailment. These trains are the UL Li Express, Nilachal Express and Buruliya Express.
NTRF and Odisha Fire Service were involved in the rescue
According to the Director of the Odisha Fire Service, General PTI said Sudhanshu Sarangi said that NTRF and Odisha fire staff are helping the railway in the rescue operation.
The Railway provided the Helpline number
The Railway has released two helpline numbers 8455885999 (Bhubaneswar) and 8991124238 (Cuttack). Ashok Kumar Mishra said we have arranged a control room and a helpline for the affected passengers. We will soon share more information about passengers.
The injured passengers left out of danger
Assam Chief Minister Biswa Sharma said two people were injured and not in danger at the Bangalore-Kamagya AC Express. In a post, X said that I am sharing updates of the train number -12551, he said.
