Analysis of the changes made in the new legislation that involves taxes. This is the topic that guides the book “Tax Reform and Constitutional State – The Future of Taxes in Brazil”This Wednesday (26) was launched in a library Federal Supreme Court (STF).

The main author and coordinator of the action is the lawyer for the National Treasury Rita Nulasco. As a result of the collective effort of the Research Group, the book was developed within the Master Professional Program in Brasilia.

During the year 2024, the group conducted intense research, discussions and meetings, and gathered academics and experts to contribute to building the new consumption tax model.

“They have dealt with the most relevant issues, and the main points of reform. Our idea is in fact contributing to clarifying many doubts, to put the main topics so that people can know. It was a major change in the consumption tax system, all this simplification, the change that will now begin to change the destination and all the questions concerned,” the author explained.

Participants presented their academic work as a result of their reflections. The book presents in -depth analyzes of the changes stipulated in tax reform, unlike jurisprudence in the higher courts.

The book contains the introduction to the Minister of Supreme Court (STF), Luis Roberto Barroso, cooperation with three other coordinators: Minister of the Supreme Court of Justice (STJ), Laise Alberto Gorgel de Vara, and Pedro Gilo’s lawyer De Ariego Federal sales Tarsila Ribeiro Marquise.

“It will contribute to the legal environment, for lawyers, for businessmen, for all those who want to know the tax reform in a deeper.”
