The state government is provided with a variety of facilities to benefit farmers who cultivate vegetables in Bihar and increase their income. This subsidy is one of these, where the state government is given up to 75 per cent of the farmers who cultivate vegetables. This project of the government is for small and margin farmers. Subsidy for cultivation of these vegetables
Farmers are subsidized in raising bitter chickpeas, watermelon, prinjal, melon, pumpkin, chilli and lady finger or called Nenua on behalf of the Bihar government. Farmers will be given up to 75 per cent financial assistance for cultivation of these vegetables. This means that if it costs Rs 10,000 for seeds and cultivation, the government will get up to Rs 7,500. The Nalanda of the Bihar State Seed Corporation will provide seeds freely by the Bihar government on behalf of the best center. With this, farmers do not have to spend extra.
How to get subsidized
- Farmers should have at least 0.25 acres and a maximum of 2.5 acres.
- Only Bihar farmers can take advantage of this project.
- To use the subsidy, the farmer must have land documents.
- Farmers of some planned districts of the state are given priority for subsidy.

- Land owner documents
- Online Updated Receipt
- Documents of descendants (if the land is controversial)
- Aadhaar card
- Bank Account Pass Book (Aadhaar Link)

- Click on Farmers’ Official Website www.hortuctuar.bihar.gov.in.
- Now upload all the required documents.
- The application will be completed after submission.
- Anyone should click on the ‘Development Program’ section given here.
- The form must be filled for the Kisan subsidy scheme.
- If there is a problem now, farmers can contact the Assistant Director of the Horticulture Department.
