The Haryana government has ordered farmers to upload a demand for crop loss by May 1 at the online portal. The order was reported to be destroyed by farmers in fire accidents across the state. The government says that when the farmers finish the job soon, a decision can be made for their welfare.

102 villages have been affected in 7 districts

Finance Commissioner’s Revenue (FCR) Sumitha has written a letter to Mishra Sirsa, Kurukshetra, Fatahabad, Sarki Dadri, Yamunanagar, Katan and Rohtak. In this letter, he advised the farmers to upload their crop loss to the e-operative portal, so the government could make a decision to provide them with relief. The fire in 102 villages in these seven districts has been reported to cause heavy damage to the crop crop. Due to the fire, more than 814 acres of wheat crop have been damaged, causing 312 farmers to lose crores of crores.

The main reason for the fire

Short circuits are described as the main reason for firefighters due to overhead power lines in the field. However, such incidents did not come under the Pradhan Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme (PMFBY). The damage caused by lightning under the Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme provides protection. But there is no loss to the short circuit. Nevertheless, the state BJP government is eager to pay compensation to farmers.

Which district is most affected

A senior official of the government said the government would confirm the claims uploaded by the farmers through the concerned DC. The compensation package will be released soon. It is said that 266.28 acres of wheat crop in Sirsa has been damaged. After this, 146.3 acres, then Fatahabad there is 83.3 acres of crop, and then Kurukshetra 57 acres of crop loss.
