The government wants to renovate sunflower cultivation in many states of the country. These states include Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. In these states, this crop of oil seeds will be sown as a rabbi rabbi. In these states, there is a product to promote sunflower cultivation instead of rabbi paddy. The government has begun the work of oil spit, aimed at reducing the importation of oils in the country from 57 percent to 28 percent by 2032. Under this, sunflower cultivation is promoted. Officials say the area of sunflower cultivation in the country is much lower than the total oil seeds, but due to the processing cluster, the trend of farmers is likely to go towards this. The creation of a cluster is expected to increase the income of farmers. If the income of the farmers increases, they will put more emphasis on sunflower cultivation. In these states the sunflower cultivation will increase
The previous sunflower cultivation was high in many states of the country. It was cultivated in about 93 lakh hectares in 2010-11. But later it was at least because the farmers went to those crops, which earn much in the short term. This trend was mainly found in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. An official, sunflower hybrid seed deficiency, low money from agriculture and high oil imports separated farmers from its cultivation.
