Uttar Pradesh is growing rapidly as the country’s leading state in the life -Energy industry. In the field of compressed biogas (CPG), this state has taken the lead in the projects under construction projects, while the number of plants already established. Currently 129 CPG projects are being built in Uttar Pradesh, of which about Rs 5,992 crore. This is the highest number of CPG plants in construction in any state in India. In addition, clean fuel will be produced by exploiting agricultural waste.

At the same time, green energy supply in urban and industrial areas is steady. The function of these plants will reduce millions of tons of carbon emission each year. The availability of clean kitchen fuel will increase and the farmers will get more benefits by producing organic fertilizers.
Becomes the active center of investment in the CPG industry
A total of 25 compressed biogas plants have been set up in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh has more CPG plants in the entire country. 19 percent of CPG plants are installed in the state, which are the highest in the entire country. The capacity of these plants is 213 tonnes (DPD). This is followed by Gujarat (16 per cent) and Maharashtra (9 per cent). Speaking of numbers, there are 21 plants in Gujarat, 12 in Maharashtra, 10 in Punjab and 6 plants in Madhya Pradesh. From these data it is clear that Uttar Pradesh has become the most active center of investment and development in the CPG region.
Solid product for future energy requirements
Investors’ tendency has increased rapidly due to the pure energy of the Yogi government, environmental protection and farmer’s friendship approach. The government provides facilities such as land subsidy, capital subsidy, SGST repayment and single window clearance. Once these 129 mills are completed, Biogas -based employment will increase in rural areas in Uttar Pradesh.
