The government water wastewater company in Rio de Janeiro has announced that it will do Guandu paralysis This Tuesday (20), from 0h to 20 hours, to perform preventive maintenance. During this period, water production will be interrupted temporarily, affecting the municipal supplies in Rio de Janeiro, Duke de Caseyas, Sao Joao de Merte, Nova Iguo, Meskita, Nilopoulis, Balford Rocksu, Kimadodus.
Among the expected improvements, the company highlighted the Macromeders’ installation – the equipment capable of measuring large amounts of water more accurately. According to Cedae, this update will allow the most efficient control of the system, contribute to reducing losses and increasing operational safety. In addition, technical adjustments, repairs and structural interventions will be made at various points in the network.
“These services are necessary to ensure the continuity of the full operation of the water production system. With them, we were able to identify and correct failures in a preventive way, and check the volume of water provided by merchants with more accurately,” explained by Daniel Okomura, the director of sanitation and the great operation of the master.
The responsibility for distributing water after seizure and treatment is that the concessions – águas do Rio, IGUá and Rio+Sanitation, according to their fields of experience. This ruling is expected to start gradually after completing the services, but Cedae recommends the conscious use of water throughout the day.
