Started mustard purchase in Haryana and Assam, know the figure in these states

The central government has launched a mustard procurement process in states like Haryana and Assam in the current rabbi marketing session. According to the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Association (NAFED), more than 864 tonnes of mustard have been purchased from these two states till March 20. This step gives farmers the opportunity to sell mustard at a minimum support price (MSP), which is expected to increase their income.

Approval for purchase of mustard

The Ministry of Agriculture has so far approved the purchase of mustard from various states of the country. These states include Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Assam and Chhattisgarh. The ministry has approved the purchase of a total of 1.5 million tonnes of mustard from these states during the current rabbi season.

Data to buy mustard

• Madhya Pradesh: More than 4.9 lakh tonnes of mustard is recognized in this state.
• Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh has planned to buy 4.79 lakh tonnes of mustard.
• Haryana: 3.36 lakh tonnes of mustard will be purchased in Haryana.
• Gujarat: Gujarat has agreed to buy 1.29 lakh mustard.
• Chhattisgarh: 3,050 lakh mustard mustard will be purchased in Chhattisgarh.
• Assam: A goal is set to buy 62,744 tonnes of mustard in Assam.

The price of mustard in Rajasthan

In Rajasthan, the mustard sample prices were Rs 5,200 to 5,350 for Quantile on Monday. This value reveals the opportunity to excel in the farmers, which will bring good benefits to them.

Assessments of mustard production

Robseed (mustard) production for 2024-25 is estimated at 128.73 lakh tonnes. However, this figure is 3 percent lower than 132.59 lakh tonnes of last year. In spite of this, the government has arranged to buy mustard at the MSP for farmers, so that they should be financially safe.

Sunflower Purchase in Telangana

The Ministry of Agriculture has also approved the purchase of sunflower in Telangana. Here is 1,972 tonnes of sunflower MSP purchased at Rs.7280. As of March 21, about 1,033 tonnes of sunflowers were purchased from Telangana.
