Slesian missionaries give new youth opportunities to search for work in India

The missionaries of the srikakulam diocese, in Andra Pradesh, launched a specific initiative to confront one of the greatest social challenges, the youth unemployment. In the publication of FIDES, the meeting, which was organized by the vocational guidance and DYSHA status, as well as a cultural festival, was a platform so that more than 500 young men and their families could find tangible opportunities for work and training.

The church at work to enhance the skills and dreams of youth

This three -day meeting, revolves around “The Day of Life Skills”, a space that has sought to enhance capabilities such as communications, decision -making, management of emotions, setting goals and teamwork. An integral approach that seeks to prepare young people not only to get a job, but also to face more confidence in their personal and social development.

Sales are concerned with the joys and difficulties of young people

The event also highlighted the importance of art and culture as tools for social thinking, with theatrical performances, songs and appearances that dealt with topics such as migration, unemployment and social challenges that affect Indian youth.

The moment of great interest was the employment exhibition, in which 15 companies from various sectors participated, including health, retail, industry and technology. In this field, more than 300 young men received job offers in the same act, with a flash of hope and a tangible road towards their future.

These types of initiatives reflect the commitment of the Church and sales to accompany the new generations on their way to dignity and personal fulfillment, in proportion to the charisma Don Bosco, and it is always concerned with the joys and difficulties of young people.
