Safety and Safety: Preparations for State Presidents at COP30

The Brazilian government intends to provide free transportation and expansion of a security plan during the thirtieth United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), which will be held in Belém (PA), in November 2025.

Information appears in a document issued by the extraordinary secretariat of COP30 (SECOP), a body related to the civilian home of the presidency.

According to Article, the proposal is to ensure free transportation between hotels and the conference location, in Parque Da Cidade, as well as between the port of Outiro and the same destination. This measure aims to facilitate the displacement of participants, especially during the largest movement days.

The logistical plan also includes procedures aimed at securing delegations. According to SECOP, Brazil wants to apply the accumulated experience during the presidency of the Group of Twenty to organize the reception of heads of state, ministers and other authorities.

They participate in planning agencies such as the Ministry of Justice, the Federal Police, the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (ABIN), the Institutional Security Office (GSI), the Ministry of Defense, and the government and municipal forces.

Another expected point is healthy emergency care. SECOP states that the uniform system (SUS) should be available without any cost for all official delegates who need help during the event.

COP30 should combine between 30,000 and 50,000 people in Belém, according to estimates presented in the same document. The leadership summit, which was attended by the heads of state and government, is expected to be held on November 6 and 7, before the official opening of the conference.
