The eradication of violence in their countries of origin does not mean evading the risks and not facing the circumstances in which ill -treatment and uncertainty are committed; The children who were revealed on May 5 saved the reality of the displaced children due to the violence that reached the main border cities in Mexico, Sidad Khwariz, Renosa and Tiguana.

The shelters in which they are recruited, without reaching education and with their violated rights are the conditions faced by the palace; In addition, the family separation was one of the serious problems that afflict children, who were subjected to insecurity and violence and even the exploitation and employment of irregular groups, according to the organization.

“In Siodad Khwariz, nearly three children (63.5 %) left the house with a father or guardian, but only one third of Mexico arrived with someone next to them.”

Orphans along the road

“Organized crime has many ways to find and seize.

The organization said in the investigation, it is not an isolated issue, given that “the number of unacceptable children who are exposed to Mexico has shot in recent years, as it moved from nearly 69,500 in 2019 to more than 137,000 in 2023.”

These conditions of deficit are left in a state of exposure to sexual and gender violence of minors, especially girls, who are forced to live in open shelters or in unsafe areas, “where even basic freedoms – such as going abroad – are limited to fear of kidnapping.”

Interfering in the helpless situations

From a broader approach, the organization urged on May 5 to fight, structurally, cases of violence, impotence and exclusion revealed by infants and adolescents all over the world.

Among the consultations that were presented to the youth between the ages of 14 and 20 years who are repeated in the projects of the organization, the save of children issued a statement they seek not only to raise awareness among society, but to prevent and combat all levels that affect children and adolescents today.

In this sense, Rafaella Milano, director of the organization’s research, announced the need to intervene “with integrated educational and social policies”, given the reasons behind youth violence; In the face of such a statement, he insisted on the need to confront students’ leakage, in order to restore “public places to boys and girls, especially in the most deprived areas, where the meeting places and socialization must be strengthened, and the development of training opportunities and the entry of work.”

Milan also emphasized that it is necessary to enhance greater potential for growth in the most deprived areas, so that it is possible to prevent future violent scenarios by covering the needs of youth.

“It is also necessary to support the role of families and schools to listen to and accompany children in their growth, which enhances a non -violent education.”

Young people speak

With the intention to find solutions to the problem facing many minors, the organization has prepared to listen to the evaluation of adolescents between the ages of 14 and 20 years cooperating with Save the Children.

In response, most young people admit that they are concerned about increasing violence and exclusion, although there is no discrimination or direct abuse; Therefore, they concluded that youth violence is a problem that can be taken from the root, “I think the school has an important role (…) I think it is a problem that can be solved in the root, just changing the educational approach.”

“The answer is prevention, education, but before all the moments that create spaces where ideas and wrong behaviors, and make people think and understand.”
