Travel from village to city

Anand Roy’s life began in Sooratpur village, Janpur, where he studied till 10th grade. His father is an ordinary farmer, not the money to buy Darbalin to save the crop. Anand says, “The crop is used in the rain. We were helpless.”

The village tight and limited resources made Anand restless. He decided that they would do something great. For this, he left the house and visited the city in search of work.

Initially Anand served as a Delivery boy. His revenue at the time was only 200-250 rupees a month. Anand recalled, “In the streets of Mumbai, there were difficulties at night at night. Once my belongings were looted in the red light area, but I saved the customer’s laboratory report.” These little incidents taught Anand a lesson of hard work and integrity.

The first fruit of hard work

Anand considered the Delivery boy’s job not only a job but also the opportunity to learn. Feeling the nuances of the distribution chain, he slowly saw the best opportunities. Many companies, experiences, and finally their salary got a job that reached Rs 50,000 a month. But Anand’s dream is not limited to work. They wanted to do something great.

In 2016, Anand took a bold move. He bought 51% stake in the logistics company called ‘Kojwas’, and the revenue at the time was Rs 650 crore. This is not a small step. Anand’s own company ‘Bijan Express’ was later less than 20 crores. Nevertheless, his hard work and vision encouraged him to take this risk. This move turned him into Singapore -based NRI, but his heart was always attached to his soil.

Mushroom cultivation from village soil

In 2024, Anand started a mushroom manufacturing plant in his village Mehoda. This decision was proved to be the turning point of his life. Anand did intensive research on mushroom cultivation and accepted modern techniques. Today his plant produces 1 tonnes of mushrooms a day, with its revenue of Rs 5-6 crore per year.

Anand did not limit himself to production. He hired 100 people from the village and trained them in mushroom farming. He says, “I wanted the people of my village to be self, so I joined me with the locals.” Anand’s effort not only creates employment but also strengthens the rural economy.

Janpur vegetables on foreign plates

The biggest achievement of Anand is that his developed mushrooms and vegetables are now exported to countries such as Singapore, Ukraine and Spain. He proudly says, “When I think that vegetables grown in the soil of my village are decorated on foreign plates, the heart is full of joy.” This achievement is a great thing not only for bliss but also for the farmers of Janpur and India.

Anand didn’t stop here. They are working on the creation of high -quality organic fertilizer (fertilizer) from the remaining remnants of mushroom agriculture. His fertilizer results in the laboratory test have come up. Anand says, “This fertilizer will be proven to be a boon for farmers because it is cheap and beneficial to the environment.”

100 crores dream

Anand’s vision is great. In the next 2-3 years, they want to increase their mushroom production to 600-700. In addition, the target is to carry his company’s revenue up to Rs 100 crore. He says, “The money is not meant for me to do something for your village and the country.”

The story of Anand Roy gives an inspiration to every farmer and young people, and he dreams of being great in limited resources. The journey from a delivery boy to a million people is the result of hard work, commitment and action taken in the right direction.
