MP Agricultural production rose 200 per cent to Rs 600 crore to 27000 crore agricultural budget

Agricultural growth rate increased from 3 to 9.8 percent

Crop production (lakhs metric tonnes) increased by 323 per cent, rising from 224 in 2002-2003 to 723 in 2024. In 2002-2003, agricultural growth rate rose from 3 percent to 9.8 per cent by 2024. With this, the agricultural budget increased from Rs 600 crore to Rs 27,050 in 2002-2003.

Mission will run all the projects together

The state government says that the “Farmers Welfare Service” is united by the Farmers Welfare and Agricultural Development Department, Horticulture and Food Processing Department, Fisheries, Livestock, Cooperation and Food Supplies and Food and Consumer Protection Department. An official said its goal is to ensure integrated growth to farmers across the state.

The objectives of this task include increasing the income of farmers, promoting climate -friendly agriculture, adopting stable practices, protecting biodiversity and traditional agricultural knowledge, ensuring nutrition and food safety, and ensuring a fair price for farmers’ yields. The official said that the Chief Minister will be the Chairman of the General Assembly of the Chief Minister, while the Chief Secretary will be the Chairman of the Executive Committee for Enforcement. In addition, the collector will head the district level and work to run it.

Milk Collection Increase coverage

The role of the agriculture sector in Madhya Pradesh was 39 per cent of the state’s GDP, the official said. According to the report, the safety of milk collection will be transported to 26,000 villages through co -operative and co -operatives to increase the income of farmers through co -operative and fisheries.

The current capacity of milk collection and processing will be increased to 50 lakh liters a day.
