When two female farmers-Pasanthi Devi and Sita Devi in Jharkhand’s Kunti district say that they are smiling today, their eyes shine, and hope is less than a farmer’s revolution. These were the same women who were forced to sell their vegetables and mushrooms cheaply due to lack of poverty and resources. But today, with the help of technology, their hard work has begun to get both the right price and sign.
In fact, there is a lot of profit from mushroom cultivation, but there was always the fear of spoiling quickly. 42 -year -old Sita Devi says. “We have no convenience to save. We will sell the rate in the market under compulsion.”
39 -Y -Aam -Ford Basanthi Devi shared the same experience, “We had to take any price we had previously met in the market. There was no negotiation, unwilling.”
But now the situation is changing. The reason for this change is a special mobile cold storage- ‘Advertisement Mobile Cool Storage Unit’.
What is promotion?
This initiative has been launched from the Netterhot Old Boys Association Global Social Responsibility (Nobah GSR) and Agricultural and Technology Innovator BMH Transmission Partnership. This cold storage can easily reach any village and keep their products safe near the farmers’ fields. It contains techniques such as solar panels, gas absorption, air circulation systems and ethylene gas management systems, which keep vegetables and fruits new for a long time.
In a conversation with the father of the project and Noba GSR’s adviser, Om Prakash Chaudhry, in a conversation with the PTI, it would be a genuine joy that “my dream came true when the promotion was launched, but farmers could save their products without fear, and get their own money.”
The female farmer became exemplary
Rekha Devi, who cultivates 50 -year -olds, says that the women of the village were forced to sell vegetables before the time, which was not a good price. But now, about 2,500 women from the Darba region are joining the mobile savings program. Rekha Devi says, “Now we are selling our crop at the time we wanted. Sometimes the market is doubled.”
Reduced loss from 40% to 3%
The post -harvest loss from such mobile cold storage has dropped from 40% to 3% after harvesting after harvesting. This has increased the income of farmers by an average of 25%. Although there is only 60 cold storage in Jharkhand, such mobile units have come up with a new radiation of hope for small and partially farmers.
Recently, State Aboriginal Welfare Commissioner Ajay Nath Ja has inaugurated this mobile section in Kunti. At the coming time, there is a plan to implement it in other districts and rural areas. Small farmers across the country, especially women, should be self -sufficient.
