On April 30, Microsoft announced its new European digital duties, in a speech delivered by the company’s president Brad Smith Brussels.
In duties, Microsoft promised to create a wide environmental system of the AI and the cloud and maintain the digital setback of Europe – even when there is geopolitical fluctuations – strengthening Europe’s economic competition.
However, in the current context, geopolitical fluctuations come from the United States, is it a suitable option to help a US technology company Europe?
In this episode of ‘The Big Campand’, Microsoft Vice President and Chairman Brad Smith met with Angela Barnes, business editor of ‘EuroNius’, to talk about the company’s latest plans.
How can Microsoft help European competition?
Pratt’s view of Microsoft’s purpose seems to provide technology that will most successfully transform others, individuals and companies. ”
As part of the group’s plans for developing AI and cloud environmental systems in Europe, Microsoft has promised to expand the efficiency of European data centers to 40% over the next two years. It refers to more than 200 operating data centers in 16 European countries.
Although this growth gives immediate employment opportunities, Brad was equally excited about the “multiplication effect” and the economic benefits of his customers.
“This is a growth machine that we want to describe the AI economy: the economies of the world in the era of IA, and, as companies, governments, non -profit organizations, we want to do,” Brady said, “Brad’s a big question.”
Can Microsoft survive without Europe?
Although Microsoft’s investments are very helpful at a time when Europe is fighting for competitiveness, they also demonstrate the stability of the company for continuous existence throughout the volume regardless of geopolitical conditions. Of course, this is a mutual beneficial relationship.
“I don’t think Microsoft was a universal success, which is today in Europe today,” says Brad.
“The truth is that this is over the quarter of our global business.”
Founded in the 50 -year technology company founded in Albugarki (New Mexico), in 1983, its identity text treatment program began for the first time and found its first journey in the European market, providing this program in French and Germany. In 1993, Brad was also the place where Brad had personally started his career at Microsoft.
As part of its determination to maintain Europe’s digital anti -digital anti -European resistance, even when there is geopolitical fluctuations, Microsoft has added a section to its contracts with European governments and European commissions, legally challenging any power that is trying to suspend their functions in Europe.
“I have full confidence that we will prevail in courts, but if we do not do so, we will have a supplier reserve team, allies in Europe. Our code, our software code and our original code will be saved in a safe deposit in Switzerland.”
He expects some people to scatter the fears of the safety of EU data, while the White House officials have assured him that they are not an action they are considering.
Brad responded to the question of how Microsoft works in the midst of the fee war between Europe and the United States:
“We will accept what we are coming and we will help us to change and change our customers.
But after all, we want to be the voice of the reason we have to promote relationships via the Atlantic for eight decades from the end of World War II, and in a way, we take this as an opportunity to retreat and return to us.
We address problems that disturb people on both sides of Atlantic, but we should not forget how important these relationships are. “
