Chhattisgarh is also known as a ‘paddy bowl’. But some farmers here do not hesitate to do new tests from traditional agriculture. Such a farmer is Deepak Pandey from Raipur. Deepak has been making quick headlines among his fellow farmers for some time. Deepak was cultivating paddy in a traditional way, but a few years ago he started manga cultivation. Now he is achieving success by accepting new techniques in mango cultivation.
1000 plants on 13 acres
Speaking to a news channel, Deepak Pandey said that the inspiration to cultivate mangoes in Chhattisgarh was found when his Guru Ji gave him a mango tree. He planted the mango tree and then started cultivating mangoes. Today, Deepak has planted more than 900 mango trees on 13 acres. According to Deepak, he brought 1000 mango trees from the nursery, but the stated species did not belong to the species. Deepak says that it takes five to seven years to make a mango tree and that when the species comes out, hard work is spoiled.
Soil and land is the most important
According to Deepak, it is necessary to choose the land first to plant a mango tree. Then the soil test is very important. Their fellow farmers are advised to take the mango tree from the mother plant holder. If the wrong tree is found, the farmer’s choice can be confused. He has appealed to the government to promote farmers for common cultivation. Small farmers have more difficulties because it is a 7 -year production. In this situation, some policy should be made for small farmers.
More benefits in mango cultivation
According to Deepak, there is more profit than paddy in mango cultivation. Paddy cultivation should work hard every year. At the same time, nothing has been found in mango cultivation for five years. But after that the profit begins, and it will continue. About 15 tonnes of mangoes come in a plant. Attach the weather and other matters, and if only 10 tonnes of mangoes go to the market from each tree, it has about 3 lakh rupees. You can wait five years for mango, but in that field the second crop can earn extra by using turmeric and turmeric.
13 types of growing lights
The Deepak estate has a total of 12 to 13 varieties of trees including Sa Aus Cha, Prinjal Bali, Himsagar, Duthasakar, Shirtalu, Basli and Dashari. Last year, the Chhattisgarh government’s horticulture department asked Deepak to make 1000 saplings. Deepak made plants and handed it over to the department. He has made any plants and horticulture from her mother plant.
