The special train will leave Muzaffarpur at 5 pm every day for the Lokmanya Tilak terminal in Mumbai. At the same time, 138 tonnes of lichi will be shipped daily from this special train running for a month.
The farmers will have time to load
The Sonbur Railway Division has completed arrangements for the operation of the train. In addition to six parcel vans with 23 tonnes of capacity, the train will have five sleepers, two ACs and three general pokes. Since the special train is operating from Muzaffarpur, farmers and traders will get enough time to load the lichi. The dedicated center will be opened near the running room located at the junction for booking. Also, Lachi cartons do not have to go through an X -ray test machine.
