Leticia Buffoni, one of the greatest skiers in the world, is going on a new road in cars. After you stand for years in X games and unify its name on skiing, she is now facing the challenges of paths in Porsche Cup Brasil.

In an exclusive interview with CNN, Bobon Talk about his challenges in motorsport.

“In skiing, I passed this position (of motorsport) when there were almost no women in this sport. Today, with my experience and my professional life, I can bring more vision to women in motorsport.”

“When I entered the Porsche Cup, there was only one woman competing, Antonella Basani. Now we have already three different categories. In addition to the pilots, there are also many women working behind the scenes such as engineers, mechanics and assistants.” Bobon.

How was your first year in the Porsche Cup and what are your expectations for this season?

So I ended up staying another year in the cup category, and my main goal for this year is to develop in this sport. I think no one is just to play, because it is not a joke.

People may think that just accelerating and turning the wheel, but there is a lot behind it. I am now learning how technician of this technical and challenge. Also, it’s a dangerous sport. If something wrong occurs, the consequences may be dangerous. For example, the pilot was recently suffered an ugly accident that was exposed to virus on social networks. Fortunately, he left without any scratching because cars are very safe, but they are still constant risk. We are raised at high speeds, and any error can lead to an accident.

In addition to seeking excellence, my focus is on improving my technical part, which goes beyond just speeding up the curve and operating it. I am in a stage of development and I can already be more consistent on the path.

What are the differences between the performance of a risky skiing maneuver and the operation of several kilometers per hour in the competition? How do you compare adrenaline between sports?

Adrenaline is completely different. In skiing, when I am about to send a difficult maneuver, I have full control of the situation. I know exactly what to do, how to fall, and how to adjust my body. Already in motorsport, everything is very fast, and you cannot always predict what will happen. If someone hit you or if you create a brake point, you will not have much to do. Impact and speed makes everything more intense and unpredictable. So they are different adrenalins, but both challenge me and motivate me.

You have already mentioned that you want to stay away from ski competitions. How do you deal with this transition?

Ski has this feature: You can be a professional ski board necessarily. There are still events that I like to participate, such as Red Bull, and video projects that have always been an essential part of my career. So I will not stop skiing, I just want to stay away from the Olympic Circle and regular competitions.

This year, I have been 19 years since my participation in X games, so you may be 20 years and then finish my participation. But whenever there is an event that motivates me, I will be there.

In addition, I have taken an important site in World Skate as Chairman of the skiing committee, and I want to use this position to improve this sport, ensuring that the needs of skiers and that the trial of competitions is as fair as possible.
