Jaguar was arrested 21 days after a house was killed in Pantanal, which was transferred on Thursday (15) to the Institute of Wild Animals in the municipality of Ambaru (SP). Previously, the animal was under veterinary care at the CRAS rehabilitation center.
“The first tests gave some changes that were sharp, but throughout the period it became stable. It is a meat -eating animal, so the basis for its nutrition is meat, and we also provided some treatment and medicine supplements.”
The Ampara Animal Institute, where Jaguar has already been sent, has eight ounces, five paint and three structures. The site includes wild animals that cannot be launched because they were victims of human interference or other works that prevent them from returning to nature.
The veterinarian Jorge Salomao explains that the place has no visit. “All our containers are very large, with original, surrounded forests. It is the closest possible animal in free life. We have rooms of a thousand square meters, up to the largest of nearly 6000 square meters,” George explained.
