India’s sting and tea on the export of Basmati and non -pass rice increased foreign praise on tea

According to the Directorate of Commerce Intelligence and Statistics General, rice exports, including Basmati and Non -Basmadi varieties, increased by 21 per cent to $ 11 billion from $ 9.32 billion in the same period last year. The increase has occurred after the government relaxed rice exports after a strong crop forecast in September 2024. These restrictions were initially imposed to prevent domestic food inflation due to heavy monsoon and yield in 2023.

Due to the raising of the ban, rice exports increased by 13.21 per cent in February 2025 to $ 1.19 billion, compared to $ 1.05 billion in February 2024.

Great growth in tea exports

India’s tea exports rose over 2550 lakh kg by 2024. The data of the Indian Tea Board shows that this has increased a 10 percent strong growth compared to 2311 lakh kg of last year, which shows a good tendency to the industry.

Indian tea prices have increased by 10 per cent in international markets, which provided the most important relief to the tea industry, which was affected by the worst weather in 2023. When the Sri Lankan crop was low, Indian exporters used market opportunities in West Asia and maintained more exports in those areas.

India is one of the top five tea exporters in the world, which is 10 percent of the total world tea exports. Its Assam, Darjeeling and Nilgiri tea are considered the best tea worldwide, and black tea is about 96 percent of the highest exports and stock. Other varieties including regular tea, green tea, herbal tea, spice tea and lemon tea contribute to the country’s tea exports.

India’s major tea export markets include the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Iran, Russia, the United States and the United States, and the increase in the average price of exports and average prices explains India’s major roles in tea production and exports.

The export of organic goods

India’s organic production exports increased by 35 per cent to 6659 lakh (about 5,710 crore), which rose to 4948 lakh last year. This is mainly due to an increase in exports of grains, tea, spices, medicinal plants, oilseeds and processed foods.

As for the dose, the increase has increased from 2.6 lakh tonnes to 41 per cent to 3.7 lakh tonnes. Although the government has said that the tendency of exports is to increase the global demand for Indian organic products, experts said that there is a need to take several steps to ensure the brand of ‘Organic India’.
